As a prospective member, you may attend two Monthly Luncheons to check us out. Each luncheon is comprised of a social time and a short business meeting and includes a program or event. They are always held at 11:00 a.m. on the second Wednesday of each month, September through June. They may be held at different locations so watch for the registration email. You may access luncheon information on the Member Central Calendar.
Reservations and Costs
You must have a paid reservation to attend the luncheon. We are not able to accommodate walk-ins on the day of the luncheon. Luncheon costs are payable online by credit card, debit card or PayPal account and are non-refundable. When making your reservation, you will select an entree as part of the reservation. The ability to make a lunch reservation closes at midnight on the Thursday before the luncheon (1st Thursday of each month). Don't miss the deadline!
Depending on the program, we may have a table just for new members or you may be assigned a table number and will sit with both established and new members. Check with the hostess at the name tag table if you have a question about where to sit. We vary our seating arrangements between open and assigned seating by month. Seating arrangements help us mix and mingle to keep meeting new people!
If you plan to attend the luncheon as a guest of a member, or if you are a member and you plan to bring a guest, the member should register herself and the guest on the same same luncheon registration. This will let the luncheon chairman know you are coming together and she can be sure to accommodate your wanting to be seated together. If a member decides to bring a guest after registering herself, the guest should register herself using the home page Monthly Luncheon Reservation process, and the member should notify the luncheon chairman that you should be seated together.
New Member Introductions
At your first luncheon as a member, you may be asked to stand up and briefly introduce yourself. Let people know where you came from and what your interests are so people with similar interests or backgrounds will seek you out. Enjoy meeting everyone; we all want to make new friends!
We suggest that you dress business professional. In some locations, jeans are not permitted.
Each luncheon will feature some activity. At times we will have a speaker; sometimes we play games; we have a fashion show once a year. Each luncheon will also include a brief business meeting.
The September Luncheon includes presentations by activity leaders. This is an opportunity to meet the volunteer leaders who will describe their activities. It’s a good opportunity to discover all the options you have for participating in your favorite activities and to try out new ones.
